Any hopes of seeing Paula Abdul back behind the judges’ table for the upcoming season of American Idol are now gone because Ellen DeGeneres has been named as her replacement.

Paula Abdul will not be bringing her supportive and often times confusing opinions back for another season of American Idol.  The former Laker Girl and pop star has announced on her Twitter account that she will be stepping down from the judges’ table.
