The teenage sister of Britney Spears and star of the Nickelodeon hit show “Zoey 101″ has confirmed that she is pregnant! The fourth season of her show has just wrapped up and with her pending new addition there is no word on her return to the show.
We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being,” the network said.
The father is reported to be Casey Aldridge, 19, who met Jamie in church. Also the two are rumored to be living together - good move! Doesn’t the church teach anything about the whole waiting until you re married thing anymore? Didn’t the mother just write a book about parenting? maybe we should wait for the second edition before picking that one up. The epilogue will be quite interesting I bet.

Jeez, Britney’s mom has got to be a real dummie.
How can anyone judge her for being pregnate at 16? How can you say she’s trailer trash, or a slut, or she’s as fucked up as her sister? Do any of you personally know anyone from the Spears family? I thought not. How is she a slut when she might have only ever slept with that one guy? Look up the definition. When did you loose your virginity? Is it just because she’s pregnate that she’s a slut and trailor trash?
The comment above is just one of the examples of how people love to judge others before they judge themselves. You’re always looking for someone else to put blame on or judge or anything at all. I think Jamie Spears can still be a great role modle to younge girls in the sence that she is taking responsability for her actions and owning up to the life inside of her.

I don’t see what the big deal is. The only reason that this poor girl is getting so much attention is because she’s famous. There are girls in my school, younger than her, who are mothers and mothers-to-be, and no one says a thing. It’s not so uncommon these days, and I think people need to realize that kids are growing up faster, no matter who they are.
I admire her decision to keep the baby, and the fact that she was able to tell her mother and others.

Technically since she is a minor she can’t give consent to have sex or to sign a legally binding contract without a guardian. So this is the definition of statutory rape. Like that kid who was 17 and rcvd oral from a 16 year old in high school - he was sent to prison for that.

This is what happens when God is so removed from our culture. That’s why the bible says to not have sex until you are married, but most of all to honor God. Seems like dishonoring God gets people in trouble in all areas and even when traumatic things happen in their lives, they never see that. See, I’m 43. They’ve had birth control pills for longer than I’ve been alive. A few weeks ago, I learned that condoms date back centuries.
And yet Jamie-Lynn (and in fact, a fair percentage of Western women) can’t find the brains to avail themselves of modern technology. They can’t remember to take the pill, and apparently in the heat of the moment, they can’t be counted on to remember to take five seconds to put a condom on the guy.
You can be in favor of or against abortion, but frankly it should never reach that stage. Only the most devout Catholics don’t use birth control: I was married to a Catholic woman for 13 years, and trust me, she and all her Catholic friends used birth control.
Any girl who asks can get the pill very inexpensively. Anyone who walks into a drugstore can walk out with a box of condoms for almost nothing.
To not have the brains to be able to do either one of these things is just plain STUPID.

Jamie lynn is too young to be a parent! I don’t advocate abortions but I do think that this child should be put up for adoption! I can’t believe her mother allowed her to date this guy that is 3 years older! Was she dating him at age 14? I guess she started having sex at 14. I know that she’s not the first to get pregnant at 16 but you would think that condoms could have prevented this pregnancy. I honestly think that she wanted to get pregnant so that her and casey would have a closer bond! What happened to waiting until your married? Think for a second about Jamie-Lynn. She never chose to be famous. Her sister is the whole reason her family is famous. Jamie-Lynn may have a TV show, but she probably felt like she needed to do something to live up to the fame of her sister. It’s not easy walking in your brother or sister’s shadow. And Britney Spears is EXTREMELY famous, so I’m sure it’s stressful for Jamie-Lynn to live up to that.
Basically, she never chose to be famous…she’s stuck with it. She’s obviously nothing like her sister, because if Britney had gotten pregnant at 16, she probably would have gotten an abortion. Just the fact that Jamie-Lynn KEPT the baby says a lot about her maturity and dedication to her long-term boyfriend.
I usually don’t comment on things like this…but I felt like I needed to voice my opinion on this. Stop making such a big deal out of someone you’ve never even met, and probably will never meet. a.) Get stoned to death.
b.) Have Mr. Aldridge pay her father $100 for taking her virginity without permission

d.) Be forced into prostitution since she is no longer a trade-able good.

I like how everyone is referring to this as a “mistake,” like the adult Mr. Aldrige’s reproductive organ slipped, unprotected, into the still-pubescent Ms. Spear’s reproductive organ, the two completely unaware of what was happening. I’m sorry, but Mr. Aldridge knew exactly the stakes of penetrating Ms. Spears without a condom. He had nothing to lose; she’s young and would have surely wanted a happily-ever-after-post-insemination (read: marriage). He gets money and status, she loses respect, credibility, and the elasticity of youth (if you know what I mean). He missed being jailed for the age-of-consent laws by only a few short months.
