“Halloween” slices up Box Office gold

The opening a horror film in September about about a killer made famous over 30 years ago during Halloween has proven to be quite the wise move. The Rob Zombie remake of the original “Halloween” ruled the labor Day box office. This version of the film went in to depth on what made Mike Myers into a cold blooded killer. I saw the film over the weekend and for those adult out there that think this is just a slasher film that you can bring you kid to see think again. Rob Zombie does not hold back when it comes to crude language, graphic violence, and sex. We saw several kids under 10 being dragged out by their parents!

1. “Halloween,” $31 million
2. “Superbad,” $18 million
3. “Balls of Fury,” $13.8 million
4. “The Bourne Ultimatum,” $12.4 million
5. “Rush Hour 3,” $12.3 million
6. “Mr. Bean’s Holiday,” $10.1 million
7. “The Nanny Diaries” $7.8 million
8. “Death Sentence,” $5.2 million
9. “War,” $5.1 million
10. “Stardust,” $4 million
