Eddie Murphy has stated that he is going to retire from the movie business. Murphy is appearing in a highly publicized, but stupid looking, movie called Meet Dave opening July 11. There was talk of a fourth Beverly Hills Cop, but that has been shot down because the script just isn’t right.

“I have close to fifty movies and it’s like, why am I in the movies?” he said, adding, “I’ve done that part now. I’ll go back to the stage and do standup.”

Now Eddie has made some decent movies, but nothing compares to his comedy movies from back in the day. I justhope he can recapture what made him one of the leading stand up comics in the world when he gets back on stage.

Beverly Hills Cop 4?

The retro theme in Hollywood is going to continue with a new installment of the 80’s hit Beverly Hills Cop. The role that took Eddie Murphy from young comic hot shot to box off gold will hit theaters in 2010 with Murphy reprising his role as Axle Foley.

Murphy approached the studio about reviving the franchise that cemented his status as a B.O. mega-star. Par brass were eager to land another picture with Murphy after he finished the Karey Kirkpatrick-directed “NowhereLand,” which Paramount releases in June 2009.

The big question of course is whether Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot will be back. if you are going to bring back an 80’s classic you need to bring back everyone that was a star in 1984 don’t you?

Eddie spent months denying reports that he had father Mel B’s baby girl and the former Spice Girl never wavered. Well the results of Eddie’s DNA test has come in and there will be no search for the real father because he is the father.

Scary Spice’s people say the results are in and Eddie Murphy’s the daddy.

Melanie Brown’s representative tells People magazine DNA tests confirm that Murphy is the father of Brown’s two-month-old daughter.

Eddie was so sure about not being the dad you just have to believe he is kicking himself now for looking like a jackass in the press. It will be nice when the child grows up and can look back at the wonderful stories about her dad bad mouthing her mom and claiming she wasn’t his. This should also play out nicely when it comes to child support – I would use everything he said to get paid! Take it to him Mel!

Mel B has gotten DNAÂ from the man she believe is the father her baby girl.Â the ongoing saga with Eddie Murphy has been in the news for nearly a year as the former Spice Girl has never wavered from her stance that the actor is her baby’s daddy.

A spokeswoman for Melanie Brown says Eddie Murphy has taken a DNA test to determine if he’s the father of Brown’s two-month-old daughter.

Dr. Dolittle might have another mouth to feed in a few weeks once these tests come back.Â It’s still shocks me that these rich celebrities can’t afford a box of condoms so they don’t have to deal with these situations.Â They sell them at gas stations and you can even get them delivered right to your house!Â What they should have done is gone on Maury Povich and he could have flown them out to NY, filmed a nice segment, and given the results all in a 1 hour show!Â On top of that you can see Mel run off the stage and go cry backstage or you can see her say “I told you he was the father!!”Â Either way that makes for some good television.

Eddie could be in for a Scary result!
