So if you are a parent of a child that is a huge fan of the FOX hit television show Glee are you upset that their current pictorial in GQ magazine is so sexy? Well apparently the spread featuring Lea Michele (Rachel), Dianna Agron (Quinn), and Cory Monteith (Finn) has has caused the Parents Television Council to issue a statement:
It is disturbing that GQ, which is explicitly written for adult men, is sexualising the actresses who play high school-aged characters on Glee in this way… Sadly, this is just the latest example of the overt sexualisation of young girls in entertainment
I can see that parents are upset that the actors that portray high school students are being shown in a sexual nature, but they are adults and they have the right to do what the feel is best for their careers. Lea has already appeared topless on the Broadway stage as a star in the musical Spring Awakening so this really can be seen as tame for her. If parents are so concerned about their kids seeing this don’t buy the issue of GQ.
