Former NHL enforcer Bob Probert has passed away at the age of 45.  The former Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wing collapsed on a boat on Lake St. Clair near Windsor, Ontario and all efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.  The 45 year old was best known for his ability to fight and is considered by many the best fighter to ever strap on a pair of skates.  During his career e put up staggering numbers for penalty minutes – 163 goals, 384 points and 3,300 penalty minutes in 935 NHL games.  According to estimates he was involved in about 240 fights while playing in the NHL.  His personal life was just as tumultuous as he was suspended form the league and served time in prison for trying to smuggle cocaine and was involved in a motorcycle accident with a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit.
