Joran van der Sloot confesses in Holloway case

February 23, 2010

Natalee Holloway went on a senior high school trip to Aruba nearly five years a go and hasn’t been heard from since.  The main suspect in her disappearance is a Dutch man by the name of Joran van der Sloot and has been since Natalee first went missing.  Joran has made a habit of confessing of disposing Holloway’s body on the tropical island, but police believe he is making things up.

His latest confession was filmed during a television interview with RTL of Germany.  In that interview he claims that Holloway died accidentally and that he disposed of the body in a swampy marsh on Aruba.  This interview took place in August, but never aired because authorities don’t believe the claim.  Previously he claimed to have disposed of the body at sea.  Witnesses, time lines, events, and places in his story don’t match up and this latest confession is not being taken seriously.  You have to wonder what would make a person confess to something numerous time when it is a lie.  This guy has some serious issues and hopefully at some point the truth does come out so the family can finally have some closure.
