Brittany Murphy, an actress that went from awkward looking sidekick in Clueless to a naughty sexy blonde in 8 Mile, passed away this weekend from apparent cardiac arrest. Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, contacted 911 early Sunday morning and Brittany was pronounced dead at 10:04 am at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. According to police there was no sign of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full medical report could take up to eight weeks. The romantic comedy roles that made her a mainstream star had dried up the last couple of years and she was recently reportedly fired from The Caller – though her reps claimed creative differences.
