Those of you hoping that Sarah Palin would make a run for the White House in 2012 can kiss those thoughts goodbye. The former VP candidate has resigned as the Governor of Alaska under rumors of a Federal Indictment involving embezzlement. According to reports Palin is under investigation involving Spenard Building Supplies and a $12.5 million sports complex she helped push through as the mayor of Wasilla. The cost of the complex is believed to be inflated and that free building supplies were provided to Palin to help complete her new house being built nearby. Will be interesting if these reports turn out to be true and if the timing of her resignation, start of a holiday weekend, was a way to deflect some of the media coverage.
