House takes out Kumar
Posted on April 7th, 2009Kal Penn, best known for his role as Kumar from the Harold and Kumar movies, has lost his network show gig on House. Rumors hit the Internet yesterday that Penn had actually died, but some people confuse what is television and what is reality. On last night’s episode Lawrence Kutner, the character played by Penn, was a no show for work and when two other doctors when to check on him at home they found him dead with an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound. The episode focused on theories as to why he would have taken his own life…especially since he was the only doctor who seemed to have no real issues. I enjoyed him on the show and will be curious to see what they do going forward. Any chance they bring back the original cast in full time role instead of using them as bit players??
