American cyclist and seven time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong has fractured his collarbone during a race in Spain. Armstrong had been gearing up for a run at an eighth Tour title and was competing in a five day even in Spain. Disaster struck just 10 miles from the finish when a group of riders went down and Armstrong had to pull out of the race. With his arm in a sling their is doubt as to the possibility of his being ready for the Tour which kicks off July 4th in France. He will return to the US to have his injury examined and determine the proper course of action.
