Andy Samberg to host 2009 MTV Movie Awards

Andy Samberg, one of the breakout stars from Saturday Night Live over the last couple of seasons, has signed on to host the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.  This will be the 18th annual edition of the always enjoyable awards show that will most likely me heavily skewed towards bats and vampires.  Samberg has gained his biggest fan base from his digital shorts and original songs featuring some of the biggest acts in the business.  I can see a duet with Justin Timberlake featuring an Award in a Box – but we will really know what they mean!
