Fans of the long running animation series The Simpsons will be enjoying them for two more seasons. Fox has signed the Matt Groening creation on for 44 more original episodes. With this deal the yellow folks from Springfield will surpass Gunsmoke for the longest running primetime series in history. However, Gunsmoke will still hold the most epsiodes record after all is said and done with a 635 to 493 margin.
