This is the hero pilot who landed his jet in New York’s Hudson River without injuring anyone as a cadet for the U.S. Airforce 25-years ago.
Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger III is being hailed a hero for landing the U.S. Airways jet with 155 people onboard after both engines failed.
He is seen here at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 1973, the year he joined the airforce as an F-4 pilot for the next seven years.
