Danyelle Sargent was a reporter for ESPN when she gained some Internet fame in 2006 when she was doing some highlights and during a clip you heard her say loudly “What the f*&k was that?” Since that incident she has moved on to FOX Sports and was covering the San Francisco 49ers game this weekend when she got a chance to interview new 49ers coach Mike Singletary. She proceeded to ask him a question that went like this:
“I heard that your mentor Bill Walsh was one of the first phone calls that you made when you found out that you had the job. What does it mean to you to be the head coach of the 49ers?”
Who spotted the issue? Oh yeah Bill Walsh, the legendary coach, passed away in July of 2007. She was informed through her ear piece of her mistake and the video never aired, but it was left available online and she now has some new fame to deal with.
