Deuce McAllister is one of up to possibly 15 NFL players that have tested positive for water pills. Will Smith, also with the Saints, was among those testing positive for the substance that is banned under the NFL steroid policy. NFL policy states that a fist offense will result in a four game suspension. The players are saying they took the pills in order to lose weight, but according to sources the diuretic in question is called Bumetanide can also be used to mask the use of other drugs – including steroids. If this leads to a suspension for McAllister it could be a killer for the Saints who just lost Reggie Bush for the season with a knee injury.
