Asha Mandela and her 8 foot dreads (Photo/Video)

Asha Mandela has been growing her hair for nearly 20 years and it now measures 8 feet 9 inches. She is hoping that her extra long dreads will get her a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Now looking at the picture it seems like only on dread is measuring nearly 9 feet, but I guess that would be good enough. She says she is able to wash the hair once a week because it takes too much energy to do it more often and it takes a full bottle of shampoo.
