Paul Newman has passed away from cancer at the age of 83 on Friday. Newman has been a Hollywood icon for decades used his fame to branch out to auto racing and philanthropy through his Newman’s Own food brand. Newman had looked frail as of let and persistent rumors of his battle with cancer have been constant in the news the last few months.
Newman had appeared in such classics as The Hustler, Cool Hand Luke and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. During his lengthy career he was nominated for eight best-actor Oscars and took home the statue for his role in the 1986 film The Color of Money. He was also given a lifetime achievement Oscar in 1985 and a Humanitarian Oscar in 1993. He will be missed.
