SMU Cheerleader banned from moving (Photos)

by Celeb on September 10, 2008

Jamie Burns was living her dream at SMU after she received a full scholarship for the cheerleading team.  However, after only one game SMU officials have banned Jamie from moving on the sideline.

Jamie has a pacemaker installed to correct an irregular heartbeat, but her doctors have all issued a clean bill of health with no restrictions on activities.  SMU is not covered under their insurance for her condition so to play it safe and avoid a lawsuit, even though Jamie has signed a waiver taking any and all responsibility away from SMU if the pacemaker causes her an issue, the school won’t budge. If you catch and SMU game and they show the sideline Jamie will be the one clapping. She is not allowed to jump, use her feet, move anything, but she can clap.
