Pats bringing in Simms and Rattay

In another sign that the injury suffered by Tom Brady today is indeed serious the Patriots are bringing in some reserves.  According to reports calls have been placed to Chris Simms and Tim Ratty to come in to camp Monday.

Simms is the son of former Giants quarterback Phil Simms and had a promising start of a career in Tampa cut short due to injuries.  Rattay is a 7th round draft choice of the 49ers in 2000, but has bounced around the league without much success since.  Since Matt Cassel is the new starter don’t expect either Simms or Rattay to see the field unless there is another huge injury.
