During the first quater of the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs opening day game Tom Brady suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury after Chiefs safety, Bernard Pollard, hit him low. The all world quarterback has not missed a start since becoming started after Drew Bledsoe was nearly killed by Mo Lewis.
However, if rumors are true Brady could be out for a substantial amount of time – the entie 2008 season. Sources are saying that Brady has suffered a torn ACL and torn patella tendon. Now an MRI is scheduled for tomorrow, assuming swelling isn’t too severe, and the Patriots will probably keep the results very secretive. If Brady is out for the year it would be a devastating blow to the reigning AFC Champions.
