Kate McAlpine is a YouTube Rap Star

Posted on September 2nd, 2008

Kate McAlpine might have the next Chocolate Rain type sensation on YouTube.  The 23 year old graduate student from Michigan State is creating a buzz online after her rap has surpassed the 600,000 viewed mark.  Going by the screen name Alpinekat she is becoming famous for rapping about particle physics.  To be more specific she is rapping about the Large Hadron Collider at the CERN lab in Switzerland….don’t ask me what that does, but the rap tries to explain it.

    Interesting…

An intelligent, well read (and very well written), science correspondent who broke down the purpose of the LHC into a fun, and easily digestible, explanation is featured on “Celebridiot”.

Well, good for the poster to put it up. This needs more exposure as does the very cool mind that put it all together.
