Richard Collier, a third year NFL offensive tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars, was shot last night which waiting at a stop light.
Collier was with recently cut Jaguar Kenneth Pettway when an unidentified man open fired on their car. Collier was struck several times and is currently listed in critical condition at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center. Collier had an arrest last year after he was found asleep at the wheel of his car at a McDonald’s drive-thru and failed a sobriety test. Collier was an undrafted free agent that had given up football before attempting to make it at Tyler Junior College. He had signed an extension with the Jags during the off season.
