X-Files star,  David Duchovny, has issued a statement that he has entered rehab for treatment of sex addiction.

David has been married to actress Tea Leoni since 1997 and the couple have two children, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd, 6.  I don't recall hearing any rumors of David and his wandering member, but I guess you never know who is going to go out and pull a Hugh Grant.  What is the actual definition of a sex addict anyway...just want to make sure I don't need any professional help.

Ana Ivanovic made history at the US Open this evening.....by being the first top seeded woman to lose in the second round in 40 years.

Julie Coin, the 188th-ranked ranked player in the world, shock Ivanovic in three set 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Prior to Ana's collapse, who was battling a thumb injury, only Billie Jean King suffered an early exit as a number one seed.  that came in 1973 when she retired in the third set of a third round match.  It's OK though because Ana will live on at the Open in our hearts and minds.

Michael Phelps is striking while the iron is hot and collecting money and publicity opportunities at every turn.

Phelps, who took home a record setting 8 gold medals at the Olympics, has already been selected to host the premiere of Saturday Night Live, present at MTV VMA show, and he just landed a reported $1.6 million advance for a book.

At least a half-dozen major publishers considered the book, billed as an "inspirational memoir," before Dominick Anfuso, the editorial director of Simon & Shuster's Free Press imprint, landed the deal, according to the report. ESPN

Not bad money if you can get it, but I think that $200,000 per 2008 gold medal isn't that great and if you count the six he already had that is only a little over $100,000 per gold.  I think he needs a new agent.

The premiere of Burn After Reading was supposed to feature Brad Pitt and George Clooney taking center stage, but Italian singer and actress, Lola Ponce, had all eyes on her.

Well by on her I mean on her amble and very visible cleavage.  I must admit I hadn't heard of Lola before I saw these pictures, but after doing some research I can see now that I have been missing out on one of the hottest women in the world.  I don't know if she speaks English, but I am sure I can learn enough Italian to win her over....don't tell my wife though.

The new IT girl on the music scene, Katy Perry, is auctioning off her breasts for a cancer charity.

To be clear it will be a plaster mold of her breasts, but still it is something.  Perry, whose song I Kissed A Girl and CD One Of The Boys,  has seen huge success since its launch.  Perry, whose real name is Katy Hudson, makes fun of some of the other smaller molds that had already been taken compared to her 32E cleavage.  The event was filmed by MTV.

Solange Knowles might want to talk to her sister about how to properly handle a television interview without making an ass out of yourself.

Solange appeared on Fox News morning show in Las Vegas where the news anchor asked her prior to going on the air if she would be willing to discuss Jay-Z's 40/40 club being closed down in Vegas.  Solange said she would prefer no tot discuss family and that was the end of it...or so the news anchor though.  When they went live Solange was given an excellent introduction and she responded calling her unprofessional.

“I have to say, that was not a very professional introduction before. Please don’t tie me into family and my brother-in-law’s establishment.”

Problem with that comment was she though that the Jay-Z comment was the beginning of the interview.  You can hear a person off camer telling her that wasn't live and thus was never aired.  of course her comments were and now we can all enjoy them.

Mia Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler and Cyrinda Fox, reveals in a new book that she was fed drugs as a child.

In her new book, Creating Myself, Tyler recounts incidents that occurred when she was only 8 years old involving her mother.

"There were pot seeds around and I would pick them up…my mum thought it was funny if I ate them."

Mia also tells about how she cam to find out that Live Tyler was her sister after meeting her backstage at one of her dad's shows.
