Obama chooses Biden

August 23, 2008

Democratic Presedential nominee Barack Obama has made his Vice Presidential running mate selection official. This November Barack Obama will be running alongside Sen. Joseph Biden from Delaware. This announcement, which is on his official website and send viz text to his supporters, will put to rest rumors of a Obama-Clinton ticket that some Democrats were looking for as McCain gains ground in the polls. Biden is an excellent choice in that he helps fill a glaring weakness of Obama’s, foreign policy.  Biden just spend 2 weeks in the Republic of Georgia helping to deal with the peace process.  Biden is also the head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and should help to quiet persistent rumblings that Obama lacks the foreign policy skill to lead in these difficult times.  Biden will give his first big speech during the Democratic National Convention August 27.
