Ricky Martin pulls a Clay Aiken
Ricky Martin, who has been plagued by rumors about his sexuality for years, is the new father to twin babies. He went the Clay Aiken route by using a surrogate mother to carry his seed and birth the future Latin heart throbs.
“In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons. The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky’s full-time care,” the statement said.
“Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children.”

Clay is living with the mother of his child. BIG difference!!!!
Good for Ricky . He has been an advocate for children for a long time . I am impressed that he is taking a year off for his babies .
His situation doesn’t mirror Clay Aiken at all however . Clay has known Jaymes Foster for years . They love each other and decided to have a baby together . She was not a surrogate .
Best wishes to both guys . Both are active trying to make better lives for kids in crisis . They will make good fathers .
I think Ricky’s boys were born first, we’re just hearing about it now.
Maybe Ricky and Clay will become friends - they have a lot in common.
And Claymates…Jaymes and Clay are not a couple so don’t try to sell that to people.
Clay Aiken, the FATHER, Jaymes Foster, the MOTHER, and Parker Aiken, the SON, are all living together as A FAMILY!! Jaymes “may” have had IVF in order to conceive because of her age but that hardly makes her a surrogate in this situation.
I guess you need to put Clay Aiken’s name in your story in order to get hits, but the two circumstances are not the same.
Tina, the Claymates don’t have to “try” anything. They ARE raising the child together. Whether it’s romantic or not is not the point…she is, in fact, the MOTHER, not a surrogate, who carries for someone else. Whatever the relationship it’s different from surrogacy.
Bottom line, good luck to them all. These children were obviously so wanted that people went to extraordinary means to have them. May they live in peace and lots of love.
Sheesh…people need to get a life of their own.
