Well this will teach Sharon Stone not to piss off an entire country after a catastrophic earthquake.  The Basic Instinct star made a statement last year that the earthquake in China that caused massive damage and loss of life was caused by karma for the occupation of Tibet.  Stone later apologized after the backlash saw her dropped from Chinese ads for Dior, protests, and being told she just isn't welcome in the country.  Now a New York lawyer is taking financial action.

More than 1,000 Chinese earthquake victims and a New York lawyer are demanding a $1 billion payout from Sharon Stone — or maybe just an apology, the New York Post reports. Fox

There was no comment from stone, but I can only believe she will choose her words very carefully because I am pretty sure there are more people in China that could join this lawsuit.

The girls from Danity Kane, the guys from Day 26, and Donnie are back for another season of Making the Band 4 on MTV.  With the growing fame of DK and Day 26 this should be an interesting season to watch.  Donnie has been more or less left behind in as the two groups enjoy some success so you can bet you sill see more of him on the show as Diddy tries to create a money maker.  Also returning is Laurie Ann Gibson who had a falling out and was supposedly fired by Diddy last season.  The show will kick off August 13 at 9PM on MTV.

In a surprise move as the trade deadline approached Brian Cashman and the New York Yankees acquired Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez from the Detroit Tigers for right-handed reliever Kyle Farnsworth.  Rodriguez fills an offensive void in the Yankees lineup that was created when Jorge Posada went down with a shoulder injury earlier in the season and will now have surgery making him unavailable this season.  Rodriguez is batting .295 with 5 homers and 32 RBIs, but aside from that he is excellent behind the plate defensively and will be a nice addition for the Yankees stretch run.  He will join the team today and should be in the lineup when they start a 4 game series against the AL Best Angeles at the Stadium.

Since it is a slow gossip day i thought I would see what is making news around the US.  Well Annette Martinez is setting herself up for the Babysitter of the Year Award...if qualifying required to have sex with the 14 year old you are being paid to watch and possibly getting knocked up at the same time. It seems Annette was hired to watch the boy and his two siblings on June 1, but she fell in love with him and decided the best course of action would be to engage in some serious adult activities over 40 times.  How was this little romance discovered?  Well the child, who Annette first thought was 16, got in to a fight with his mommy and went to Annette who told the mother of their love.  Annette is now being held on $5000 bond.  Why isn't the 14 year old taking some responsibility and watching his two siblings on his own?  Kids today are such slackers. more info

Knight spent the day hitting the new Americana Mall in Glendale, CA yesterday.  Katherine was looking sexy in a tight little dress with a short skirt and some sexy boots.  T.R. was working the required t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers which is apparently all he owns.  Heigl is rumored to have pissed off the writers over at Grey's so much they plan to give her a brain tumor and make her wonder if they will kill her off al season.  Beats the plot line with Meredith drowning and coming back to life - crap!
