I’m all for heterosexual rights, blah, blah blah… but why does their sexuality have to be so out front in everything they do? Whenever I see a straight man who wants to dance with a straight woman IN FRONT OF CHILDREN, FOR GOD’S SAKE, it sickens me. It’s so obvious that they’re trying to push their heterosexual agenda on everyone.

Dear Will,

Your reasoning is severely flawed, and you are being discriminatory.

Using the EXACT SAME argument you used, I could argue that African Americans are “a SUB-culture, a minority. They represent a small percentage of the population…” And therefore… what? You think they do not deserve any airtime?

Having one same-sex (at least partly homosexual) couple out of over 70 that have been on the show (counting this upcomming season) so far is not overrepresentation. They didn’t specifically cover this in Graduate School but I’m pretty sure that’s called Underrepresentation.

Speaking of which, I recall parents in the South saying the exact same lines when African Americans started appearing on TV with greater frequency. Mostly inspired by Christian rhetoric.

Perspective, it’s a good thing.

JAKE SAID IT BEST ABOVE. Anyone who is offended by something as benign as two men dancing deserves to be offended…lol.

It should definitely be treated as a “Non-issue”, and would serve ABC well to keep it that way.

Where is our society headed? This is prime time TV. Kids are watching. Gay is a SUB-culture, a minority. They represent a small percentage of the population but are overrepresented in the liberal media. Keep it in the closet or at least, keep it away from my kids. DWTS will not be seen in my home again.

Something tells me that people wouldn’t be NEARLY so opposed if it was two women dancing together. Seriously, we’d have thousands of bachelors setting their TIVOs for it.
