Tiger Woods came back from a knee injury to win an epic 91 hole battle to take home the US Open on Monday.  However, today he announced that he will be forced to all it a season after deciding that he requires surgery for his damaged ACL and a stress fracture in his leg.

Woods said on his Web site that he will have surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament. He also wrote that he needs time to rehabilitate a double stress fracture of his left tibia, which he said was discovered just before the Memorial Tournament in late May.
