American idol runner-up David Archuleta has signed on to 19 Recordings/Jive Records according to their website. the label is managed by Idol creator Simon Fuller. The 17 year old was the early odds on favorite to take home the crown, but strong performances by David Cook and Archuleta’s inability to sing anything outside his ballad comfort zone cost him in the end. David even issued a thank you video to his fans for all their support. You can check out the video here.

I think the song is called “Shop Around” Archie sang it close to the beginning of the season. Not a ballet by any means. It was fun and young. It built all the way to the end. Loved it and listen to it in my car along with all his ballets. Listen to even the famous Boo song. Guess what, love it also. The media labeled him the ballet king and people just ran with it.
