The retro theme in Hollywood is going to continue with a new installment of the 80’s hit Beverly Hills Cop.  The role that took Eddie Murphy from young comic hot shot to box off gold will hit theaters in 2010 with Murphy reprising his role as Axle Foley.

Murphy approached the studio about reviving the franchise that cemented his status as a B.O. mega-star. Par brass were eager to land another picture with Murphy after he finished the Karey Kirkpatrick-directed “NowhereLand,” which Paramount releases in June 2009.

The big question of course is whether Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, and Bronson Pinchot will be back.   if you are going to bring back an 80’s classic you need to bring back everyone that was a star in 1984 don’t you?
