Mariah Carey lights up New York
If you are in he New York area and noticed that the Empire State Building has a unique color scheme that you have never seen before you are correct. That is because there is a celebration going on to commemorate the release of Mariah Carey’s newest CD E=MC2 - well not the release, but the week after the release. The building is illuminated in pink, lavender, and white for the entire weekend. The building’s lights are usually laid out for the year to recognize major holidays, seasons, or to bring awareness to a cause such as Breast Cancer. I can only imagine how much it cost to get Mariah’s colors to light the sky. She even got to flip the switch on a little replica of the building on Friday afternoon to get the ball rolling.
