Sandra Bullock and her husband, Jesse James, were involved in a head on auto accident in Glouscester, MA.  The driver of th car that struck the couple was operating her car under the influence of alcohol.

Police said Hussey tried to avoid the oncoming car but couldn’t get out of the way.

Gatchell was arrested and charged with operating under the influence and marked lane violations.

Police said a witness to the accident was driving behind Gatchell and was dialing 911 to report her swerving when he saw the accident happen.

Luckily both Sandra and her husband were not injured in the accident.  The woman involved in the accident did not realize who she had hit until after she was arrested and you won’t believe her reaction.

According to police, Gatchell was initially unaware of who she had struck.
“After I arrested her I had her in the cruiser,” Mackey told the Herald. “I said, ‘Do you realize who you hit?’ She asked, ‘Who?’ I said, ‘Sandra Bullock.’
“She was almost giggling and laughing. She said, ‘My first drunk driving and I hit Sandra Bullock.”
