Tonight on American Idol Mariah Carey was the celebrity coach and they had to pick any of her songs to perform. Choosing one of the biggest voices of all time to pick songs from is no easy task and it has destroyed many contestants in the past. David Archuleta shined when he opened the show which didn’t make things easier for those waiting in the green room.
