Britney to stay additional 14 days at UCLA
According to reports Britney Spears will be a guest of the UCLA Medical Center psychiatric unit for another fourteen days. Her doctor has requested the extra time since Britney has been placed in a quiet padded room.
The Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital is known as one of the top facilities of its kind; still, “It is a terrible situation,” says a source close to the Spears family. “Britney is in a padded room. Her family is so worried about her.“
Terry K. Wasserman, a veteran L.A. attorney specializing in mental health cases (who’s not involved in the Spears matter), explains that if a patient becomes combative, he or she “could be placed in a ‘quiet room,’ some of which are padded.”

Add this to the custody battle, family squabbles, rumor of Sam Lufti bragging about his control over Britney leading up to her hospital stays, and some extra time in the hospital is probably the best thing for her. She is obviously exhausted and suffering from some for of mental illness - be it bipolar or something else. You just hope that can find the right balance of therapy and medication to help her through this difficult time.
