Nightmare on Elm St. to get a face lift

Leave it to the folks in Hollywood to come up with new original cutting edge ideas for new movies.  Their latest creation involves a mad man that is burned alive and comes back to haunt the children of those who killed him in their dreams!  Oh wait that was done like 20 years ago and they made something like ten version.  So why not remake the original since it has worked for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Hills Have Eyes, The Amityville Horror, and Halloween.  Well Freddie is rumored to be coming back with new special effects, a new Freddie, and some hyped up gore.  It will be strange not having Robert Englund behind the blades.
