American Idol 7 Dancing Fool Johnny Escamilla

Posted on January 30th, 2008

Last night’s episode didn’t bring a lot of excitement for laugh, but one bad performance stood out above the others. Maybe it was the bad Three Stooges haircut, the sparkly gold jacket, or the high pitched voice, but Johnny Escamilla is the worst Omaha had to offer. Johnny told the judges that people he performs for appreciate his style. When Simon asked if he was paid to do this he quickly came back with “I Volunteer”. I feel bad for those poor people!

The only person I see possibly making a run at Idol glory from last night’s show is Leo Marlowe because the kid has talent and seems very genuine.

i just wanted to let you all know. this was my audition. and i’ll tell you one thing, it took over two years to get the guts to read what the media wrote about me.

i’m glad i waited that long. it would of destroyed me because obviously, the media seems to assume that i’m about as unfeeling as fictional tv character. or least it seems that way from how heartless their comments were.

i’m sure no one cares of what it feels like to perform in front of 30 million people, three celebrity judges who want nothing more than to tear you apart for exploitive entertainment – then let down and give a bad name to the 14,000 back in your home town, never hearing the end of it for the next two years and of course–reading this.

gosh. i was so nervous, i didn’t even realize at the time of how badly i was doing. but after watching it two years later–i found out happened. i feel to pieces because i was so nervous.

but either way. this has to be the worst of all the unhuman journalism that i’ve been unfortunate enough to read. Three Stooges haircut? can’t person let their hair grow out naturally and not be judged as if they’ve spent the money to go regularly to a beauty solon? that’s a horrible shot.

second. the reason why i wore that jacket is because it was made by a family friend who was proud of me performing. i didn’t care how it looked. it was sentimental. but obviously, what do you care?

high pitched voice? you’re judging me on something i was born with? what kind of comment is that?

anyways, i’m done here. it’s sad how the media doesn’t care how much experiences like these can change a person’s life and how they actually love to destroy them even more for the sake of …what is the point what this website does anyway? did the person who wrote this have any dignity?

but anywho. the reason why i’m posting this is to at least tell my side of the story. think of it as correcting and facing past mistakes.
