Ledger autopsy inconclusive

In an announcement that was expected, the autopsy performed by the New Medical Examiner’s Office has come back inconclusive on the cause of death for Heath Ledger.

Additional toxicology tests will be conducted and results are not expected back for another seven to 10 days, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Police sources said investigators found two bottles of sleeping and anti-anxiety pills at the apartment — one prescription, one over the counter.

Fire officials told NewsChannel 4 that a 911 caller reported that a man was not breathing and his body was “cold”

This news will of course raise speculation of an accidental overdose or suicide claiming the life of the 28 year old actor. Reports have come out saying Ledger was battling pneumonia so the possibility of a bad drug reaction is still possible. Ledger had said in an interview that playing the role of the Joker left him physically and emotionally drained which led to difficulty sleeping. More to come on this story.
