Had Baretree done any sort of reasearch on Mariah, they would know that her skin tone is not classified as white, but high yellow. If Mariah’s skin tone were a few shades darker would it be alright for her to have pictures taken like the one she has done for the (tentative) album cover?

After being told (early on in her career) that she was too ambiguous looking, is it any wonder that Mariah has finally embraced her own personal beauty both inside and out? Mariah is for many people, and myself personally, an inspiration and a role model that shows us that no matter how you look, or what people say to you, you need to be comfortable in your own skin, whether that be black, white, tan or HIGH YELLOW.

People need to concentrate more on what Mariah has done for people in this world, including her charity work (Camp Mariah, Smile Foundation etc), her lyrical content and the fact that her songs have saved peoples lives, this sort of talent should never be judged or questioned due to the colour of a persons skin.

Mariah, personally I think you are one of the most beautiful ladies in the world, and I would take my jacket, or any other item of clothing, off for you if it was going to make your life a little bit better.

I can not wait for the new album, and I would like to wish you every success you truly deserve.

I have been here from 1993 following your career, after losing my brother at the age of 21 in 1999, you gave me guidance, direction, clarity and uinderstanding of the strength that I needed to find after losing my best friend.

I only wish people could see the multiple changes and influences Mariah has made, before slagging her off all because of a picture she has taken.

Grow up people, this is 2008 not 1908, the colour of a persons skin does not give us the right to make hurtful comments nor treat people like second class human beings, we all come into this world the same way and we are all going out the same way.

BARETREE – A question for you, Did you ask to be born? Do you know anyone that did? If/when they asked did they ask for a certain skin tone? I would love to hear a response to this question, but I dare say that you are too gutless to respond!

I myself am from a very mixed background, British, Scottish, Spanish, French, Polish, German, Dutch, Australian – I don’t believe that I am either white or tan, I am what I am, a bi-product of my parents, people have made comments to me about my appearance and I put it down to ignorance and racial intolerance. I would have thought by now that the people of this world would have learnt that the color of a persons skin does not make them less worthy of being treated as a human being with respect and dignity.

BARETREE can I ask how you have become so happy/satisfied with your own life that you think it is alright to make racist, un-founded and ridiculous comments? I never thought perfection existed, who could give it in return? BARETREE with those opinions you are in for a lonely life. Still when you are that far up your own ass, I guess you don’t need any one else right!

Mariah, always believe in yourself, ignore the haters – Jealousy is one of the ugliest traits any person can harbour.
