Too bad many people can't take the camera motion, their loss. This movie was basically about the people in the middle of the attack, not about the monster itself . It can also be said it was all about Rob & Beth, the movie begins with them and ends with them. Not very hard to notice, but people have expectations. Having a background in film might help you understand this film and what JJ was aiming for; clueless people will never get it.

IM GIVING ALOT AWAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The movie is called cloverfield because the division of the military in the movie was called cloverfield.

The monster was created by project : CLOVERFIELD

They were working on an experiment for a weapon (the monster) to win the war in iraq, which went horribly wrong & attacked us.

Over & over, people say that it's another terrorist attack,
when it's our own creation thats doing this.

The movie was a non-offensive salute to 9/11.

Lily is very much alive in the helicopter that said the monster was still alive at the end of the movie, which landed in a field of clovers.

Jason didn't die, the camera picked up what looked to be his death, if you play it in frame by frame, when he sees the tail, as its right over him, it lands behind him, he jumps forward, the bridge breaks, & he falls in the water.

This movie rocks!!!!!
Some keys to getting the most enjoyment from it are.....
1. BIG tv with digital surround system and sub
2. The less you know about it the better (adds to the OH SHIT factor)
3. Be patient while the movie sets up with the lightly amusing yuppy chit chat and character familiarization.
4. Have a change of underwear handy for after the stealth bomber attack.

If you can't see the object falling from the sky at the end of the movie, you're going blind...

It says Help us at the end of the credits, but played backwards it's "It's still alive"

This was one of the best movies i have ever seen!

At the beginning of the film it says something about the footage being found in what used to be central park.... if you can't figure out how it ended from that then you're an idiot! Clearly, they all died and the city got trashed!

Also, having the film shot normally would go against the opening statement because it wouldn't look like footage they found in central park if it was shot professionally would it? So get over the shaky camera angles!

Grayson, on January 18th, 2008 at 9:54 pm Said:

"At the very end theres no scene where something falls out of the sky into the water and the whisper had to be played backwards and it says “It’s still alive”"

Sorry, Grayson -- not so.

At the end there IS indeed a scene where something falls from the sky. When Rob & Beth are at Coney Island, and you hear her say "Oh -- yeah, a little" and then you hear the low battery beeps on the camera he's holding, look to the water on the right side of the screen, and the object falls from the upper right corner, into the water at the horizon, just to the left and up from the cruise ship.

Also, no, there's nothing to be played backwards. The last thing spoken after the credits are finished is a male voice saying "Now, what?" (not What, now? as the reviewer mentioned earlier)

Jordan - you were right on the money! Very perceptive.
