Britney bailing on final depostion?
Britney Spears had one final chance today to comply with a legal requirement and provide a court ordered deposition in her pending custody dispute. OK! magazine is reporting that Britney has failed to arrive at the appointed time and has been seen driving her car around town.
And yet, as off 11:15 a.m. PT, she had not arrived at the office of K-Fed’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan.
So where is she? The troubled singer left her home in Beverly Hills around 10:15 a.m., only to turn her car around and head back into her gated community. At first, her wingman Sam Lutfi, who was in the car’s passenger seat, told members of the paparazzi that Britney would indeed show. And then OK! heard that Britney had sent her limo driver and Sam away, and that she would NOT be at the deposition!
But wait — there’s more. Just after 11am, Brit was spotted driving herself in her white Mercedes in the direction of Century City, where Kaplan’s office is located, so she may be going after all! “She’s probably going to go and just sit there,” one insider tells OK!. “That way she’ll have fulfilled her requirement and won’t lose the kids.”
OK! had been told by a case insider that Brit had until 10:30 a.m. PT before Kaplan was to take his offer off the table and go straight to the courthouse to ask the judge to dismiss Britney’s custody claim and give Kevin permanent custody. We’re now hearing that he will wait until at least 11:45am PT to make this decision.
