Oh you didn’t read that incorrectly. Will Smith actually has some lovely things to say about on of the most evil men in all of history. Will believes that Adolf might have just been a bit misunderstood when he decided to slaughter millions of people to fulfill his twisted agenda.
“Even Hitler didn’t wake up going, ‘Let me do the most evil thing I can do today.’ I think he woke up in the morning and using a twisted, backwards logic, he set out to do what he thought was ‘good,’” Smith says. “Stuff like that just needs reprogramming.”
I don’t even know what to say about that comment by Will. Anyone else feel Hitler just need someone to listen to him more when he was growing up? Maybe a he wasn’t hugged enough as a child or didn’ get the cool toy ever other ruthless future dictator got?

I 100% agree with Will Smiths comments here. He has IN NO WAY defended Hitlers actions. What he is saying is that people do not live their life to be evil. However the actions taken by Hitler, in Hitlers reality, is the right thing and he has done nothing wrong.
People who ask celebrities what they think about anything; get what they deserve. You might as well ask a child what they think of the world. And sadly, there are even worse mass murderers than Hitler. Joseph Stalin jumps to the lead if numbers of innocents killed is the benchmark. Evil doesn’t come in just one flavor or nationality.

I can’t believe this site has no hits on this comment, while on TMZ’s homepage there are nearly 400. This is an irrational, cruel, misguided, ignorant statement made by Will Smith. I don’t care how good his movies are, how well he did at making his money and guiding his career, someone needs to pay attention to this and expect him to explain EXACTLY what he meant. Hitler was and remains the largest mass murderer in history. There is no excuse, no way to forget in our hearts or our bruised souls for this man’s actions. And there is simply no reason for Smith to defend him on any front for any action. Forgiveness has to be left up to each individual.
And, by the way, yeah, his mother was a prostitute and his father was unknown to him. Not enough hugs? Wrong toys? Even on the best days, that is simply not a funny statement. This was a wicked, evil man who did his best to create a “pure” race. And, yes, to continue to answer what you did not print here, Hitler DID wake up every morning trying to figure out a way to make it happen. Saddest of all, he nearly succeeded…
