It might be a "secret ending" he was talking about then. I haven't seen the movie, but I know this movie based on a 1954 science fiction novel by Richard Matheson about the last man alive on earth. And I have read the novel, its influence on the horror genre has been profound. Once reading it, it is hard to put it down. Now owning the book is not a big problem.
