Well come on four days just doesn’t sound all that exciting does it?  Nicole is once again riding the coat tails of Paris Hilton and being pushed out of the limelight by Lindsay Lohan so her sentence of a few ays in prison today isn’t exactly sending media shock waves.

Nicole Richie was sentenced to four days in jail and placed on three years’ probation this morning in connection with her arrest in December for driving under the influence of drugs.
As part of a deal with prosecutors, the actress, who stars with heiress Paris Hilton on the television show “The Simple Life,” admitted to driving under the influence of drugs and a previous DUI conviction.
Richie has until Sept. 28 to serve her jail time and must pay a $2,048 fine, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. She was given six hours credit on her jail time.

Poor Nicole can’t catch a break.  She is fighting with her boyfriend, is rumored to be pregnant, and now is going to jail.  To make matters worse no one is even talking about her that much.   Paris received 24 hour news coverage about her conviction and a stint on Larry King.  Nicole will be lucky to be a side story on a “Who is the father of my baby?” Maury Povich special.

Those clothes don’t fly in prison Nicole!
