“Transformers” blows up the box office
Posted on July 8th, 2007The Michael Bay cartoon inspired film turned the box office into its own play thing this weekend. To be accurate the Autobots helps to revive a sluggish box office and made history for an impressive first week take for a non-sequel. The film took in a estimated $67.6 million over the weekend and has raked in over $150 million in it’s first week. Rounding out the top three were last weeks number 1 and 2 films with “Ratatouille” and “Die Hard” taking in nice figures.

9. “Sicko,” $3.65 million
10. “Ocean’s Thirteen,” $3.5 million
