Dave Chapelle, the man that walked away from $50 million, performed the comic equivalent of of running 100 miles without stopping.  Chapelle gave the crowd a treat on Sunday when his stand-up set lasted longer than any other comic ever.

shattered the Laugh Factory's endurance record by taking to the stage for six hours and seven minutes on Sunday. "He was absolutely amazing, for six hours making people laugh," the club's owner, Jamie Masada, said Tuesday. Masada said the previous record of three hours and 50 minutes was accomplished earlier this month by Dane Cook. But until then the mark had stood at two hours and 41 minutes since Richard Pryor set it in 1980.

I have done some stand-up and 5 minutes on stage in NY is intimidating enough and I can't imagine having enough quality material and stamina to last over 6 hours on stage.  I have seen old Richard Pryor shows were he went on for over an hour and Bill Cosby specials that went two, but six hours of quality is amazing!  If he would have done that for Comedy Central it would have been two seasons worth of shows and he could have pocketed made money!!!!

Well another week and another hairy look for Sanjaya.  That was probably the only interesting part of the entire country themed show.  Sanjaya went with a red bandanna look and curly hair that didn't help is off key performance.  Of course the show as a whole left me wishing i spent that hour eating nails because I think that would have been more enjoyable.  Blake Lewis had a nice performance to end the show and Melinda once again was strong, but every time I see her I keep seeing a deer in headlights.  Tomorrow night might be the end of the line for Lakisha who hasn't lived up to the early hype of the first couple of weeks.  It has to get better doesn't it? Let this be a lesson to everyone out there who wanted to pull an Adrian Brody at the Oscars with Halle Berry when they get the chance.  Richard Gere decided to give a few playful kisses to Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and pissed off all of India.

But reports say the actor has also caused a controversy in India. Gere planted several kisses on the cheek of Indian actress Shilpa Shetty at the event. Monday, groups of men burned an effigy of Gere and kicked the smoking remains in the city of Kanpur. Similar scenes took place in at least three other cities. The protesters said Gere's kissing of Shetty was against Indian culture.

Remember when Richard would just stir up some rumors about a gerbil that never really hurt anyone....well other than the gerbil.  Gere was in India for a good cause regarding AIDS awareness and he goes and gets all touchy feely on stage?   Richard might be some sort of middle aged sex symbol in the states, but in other countries he is just a dirty old man.

The sequel of the Hulk just signed on some serious star power to play the tame side of the green beast as Edward Norton has agreed to play the role of Bruce Banner.

"Edward Norton is a rare talent and one of the most versatile actors in the business. His ability to transform into a particular role makes him the ideal choice to take on the character of Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Edward is perfectly suited to bring one of the most popular and important Marvel icons to the big screen in a new and exciting way," said Kevin Feige, president of production, Marvel Studios.

The film will be released during the summer of 2008 and will not be a repeat of the computer generated Hulk from several years ago.  This go round they have decided to stick to what made the Hulk so popular and create a film more about Bruce Banner trying to find a cure. Read More

Spiderman 3 made its world preimiere last night in Tokyo, Japan.  It is the first in a worldwide staged opening that will culminate on May 4th in the US.  The film is destined to be one of the biggest money makers of the year and will launch a promising Summer movie season which will also feature the return of Shrek and Die Hard. The Hollywood Walk of Fame gained another Oscar winner today when Forest Whitaker picked up a piece of the sidewalk.  Witaker follows Halel Berry on the Walk as she recieved her star a couple of weeks ago.

"I remember as a kid coming to the Walk of Fame. It was like a field trip and very exciting to us," said the 45-year-old actor-director at the ceremony for the Walk's 2,335th star. The honor represents "where I came from, and where I am going and hopefully where I am at right now," he said.

Of course these honors aren't free as the celeb has to foot a few grand for the event and they usually are scheduled aound a release of some sort.  Make sure to pick up his Oscar winning perfomance in "The Last King of Scotland" on DVD this Tuesday!
