The Hollywood Walk of Fame gained another Oscar winner today when Forest Whitaker picked up a piece of the sidewalk. Witaker follows Halel Berry on the Walk as she recieved her star a couple of weeks ago.
“I remember as a kid coming to the Walk of Fame. It was like a field trip and very exciting to us,” said the 45-year-old actor-director at the ceremony for the Walk’s 2,335th star.
The honor represents “where I came from, and where I am going and hopefully where I am at right now,” he said.
Of course these honors aren’t free as the celeb has to foot a few grand for the event and they usually are scheduled aound a release of some sort. Make sure to pick up his Oscar winning perfomance in “The Last King of Scotland” on DVD this Tuesday!
