While Jennifer Lopez was working it on American Idol her husband was taking care of some unpaid taxes. Marc Anthony apparently had an issue with the whole April 15th thing the last few years and had to make amends.

Singer Marc Anthony will be paying about $2.5 million in back taxes, interest and penalties because of his failure to file returns for five years, prosecutors in New York said Wednesday.

Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau said that Anthony, who was not prosecuted on tax charges, failed to file returns for 2000 through 2004 on $15.5 million in income.

Failed to file tax returns for five years??!?!?!  Don’t these people have agents, managers, accountants, and ass kissers on the payroll at all time to make sure they do basic things like paying their taxes?  How does $15.5 million in income equal $2.5 million in taxes?  All I know is FICA takes like 25% out of my paycheck every week and I pay my taxes on time.  How does Marc get off paying $2.5 million over five years with penalties and interest? Wonder why the countries debt is so high — start collecting from the rich boys!

Oh you have to file that stuff every year?!? Opps!
