Spartans control the box office

The film adaptation of a graphic novel that combined real life actors and a digital background ran away with the weekend box office.  “300”  made more money this weekend than the nine films behind it combined as it raced to a $70 million haul.  Last week’s #1 film. “Wild Hogs”, did solid second week numbers and is still a surprise family comedy hit.

9. “Breach,” $2.6 million
10. “Amazing Grace,” $2.5 million
