Lance Garrison charged in fatal crash
Posted on March 9th, 2007The former cast member of the Fox hit “Prison Break” found out today he will be charged in the fatal accident he was involved in that killed a teenage passenger.
“Prison Break” actor Lane Garrison was charged Thursday with manslaughter and drunken driving for a crash that killed a 17-year-old boy in his car last year.
The 26-year-old performer was accused of felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, felony driving under the influence causing injury to multiple victims and felony driving with a blood-alcohol level above the .08 percent legal limit causing injury. He also was charged with a misdemeanor count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
All the jokes people make about Nicole Richie and Mel Gibson driving drunk aren’t sofunny when that decision results in a tragic death of someone. Garrison faces up to 6 years in prison if he is convicted of the charges against him. He was killed off on “Prison Break” last season and that will probably be the last time you see him on anything other than an E! True Hollywood Story about celebrities gone wrong.
